The team is backed by some of the worlds leading VCs (Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, etc.) and is supported by an expert group of advisors including the cofounders of Square and Xendit, executives from Intuit, former Governors, White House senior staffers, and a co-founder of CityMD./ppWe are looking for a Compliance Officer who will be the Companys first dedicated compliance role, expected to make a significant impact on building out and implementing a comprehensive compliance framework. We need a detail-oriented critical thinker who demonstrates strong ownership of projects and can act self-sufficiently, highly motivated to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. This position will report to and work closely with the General Counsel of the Company./ph3Your responsibilities will include:/h3ulliDrafting compliance policies and procedures/liliLeading in implementing the Companys financial/legal Compliance Program/liliConducting research with respect to compliance and regulatory issues; developing new compliance initiatives/liliInteracting with the business and product teams to provide advice and guidance/liliProviding training to employees during induction, annual and ad hoc compliance trainings, including the preparation and updating of materials/liliAssisting with regulatory examinations, inquiries, investigations, internal audits and projects, as necessary/liliUndertaking and leading special compliance related projects involving various inter-department stakeholders/liliConducting reviews as part of the Companys overall compliance program/liliOrganizing and administering the Firms committee governance program and documentation/liliMonitoring regulatory changes, updates and industry-wide compliance initiatives/liliReviewing and analyzing reports generated by the Firms surveillance systems/liliImproving internal compliance reports by identifying/closing any potential gaps, automating workflows/processes/li/ulh3You have:/h3ulliBachelors degree from an accredited university or college with a strong academic record; Paralegal experience a plus./lili3+ years of experience in compliance experience, including at a financial institution, fintech or technology startup/liliSuperior verbal and written communication, as well as analytical and problem solving skills/liliExperience with cybersecurity, data privacy and information security preferred/liliExperience in working with different technology applications such as MS PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, any other relevant data analytics tools preferred/liliGood team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others/li/ulh3We offer:/h3ulliEquity - Everyone at Nitra is an owner.
