You will provide hair care services to our Military patrons and their families. Your work will make an impact and support how our organization serves our most valued customers – our Military patrons and their families. What does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed? o Provides barbering hair care services for clients, including cutting various hairstyles to suit clients and families. o Carries out policies of courtesy and customer service. The Qualifiers: o Graduate of an accredited school of barbering or cosmetology and possess a valid State License in Barbering or cosmetology. o Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check. o Physical effort requires continual use of both arms and legs, including frequent standing, reaching, and lifting (seldom lift in excess of 5 pounds). Medical Screening Requirement: All barber shop and beauty shop employees, including contract personnel, must be medically screened and determined to be free of communicable diseases prior to initial assignment. Periodic examinations are not required unless necessary for local reasons. This screening may be performed by non-physician personnel at a medical clinic on base. Abnormal responses or findings must be further evaluated by a provider. Physical Requirements: Continual use of both arms and legs involving frequent standing, reaching, and light lifting.
