Upholstery Technician / Furniture Upholsterer

Motorhomes of Texas, a luxury motorhome dealership, is growing and in need of an Upholstery Tech. We are looking for an individual that would like to make a career with us reupholstering motorhome furniture and sewing bedding, curtains, pillows, and more. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the craft of upholstery in this full-time position. Job Duties:

• Using power tools.
• Remove and replace coverings from furniture.
• Trace, measure and cut patterns.
• Repair frames and materials once uncovered.
• Sewing.
• Understand measurements and drawings.
• Meet deadlines.
• Follow safety policies.
• Keep the workplace clean and organized.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to push, pull, carry 50+ pounds.
• Must effectively take direction.
• Possess good mathematical skills.
• Ability to stand, bend and stretch for periods of time.
• Professional and effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment towards a common goal.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple work tasks.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Must be reliable and eager to work.
• Previous experience with upholstery or furniture manufacturing required.
