The Territory Sales Manager serves as the key point of contact between the company and customers in the field. As a valued consultant, the Territory Sales Manager provides direct support that drives sales growth and strengthens customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience selling to hospitals and working with GPOs.

This is an individual contributor role that offers competitive pay + incentives, bonuses, medical, dental, vision, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed sales quotas, driving revenue and profitability goals.
  • Enhances business development efforts by optimizing field time and increasing overall efficiency through proactive lead generation.
  • Regularly engages with manufacturer representatives in the assigned sales territory to understand their evolving business needs and present tailored product solutions.
  • Continuously deepens knowledge of customers, products, and capabilities to provide optimal solutions.
  • Cultivates strong customer relationships, focusing on delivering customer-centric solutions and meeting both internal and external customer expectations while establishing trust.
  • Builds and maintains long-term, productive partnerships with manufacturer representatives, as well as existing and new customers.
  • Ensures consistent communication and follow-up with manufacturer representatives and prospects to drive sales progress.
  • Collaborates with internal departments to support sales efforts and promote solutions for both new and existing customers.
  • Participates in industry conferences, trade shows, and professional events to promote products and brand presence.
  • Regularly submits timely activity and expense reports through the CRM system.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience selling to hospitals.
  • Proven success in driving new business development and effectively qualifying leads.
  • In-depth experience working with a GPO is required.
  • Previous experience partnering with a distributor is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in various settings, including one-on-one, small and large groups, and across all organizational levels.
  • Previous experience working within CRM systems is also strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to travel within assigned territory.
