Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Substitute Teachers to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement creative, engaging activities and experiences that align with our curriculum and standards.
Assist children in reaching developmental milestones, completing observations, and supporting schoolwork or remote learning.
Foster a safe and caring environment for children and families.
Actively supervise and engage with children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Maintain regular communication with children, parents, and staff to meet the needs of each child in our care.
Follow lesson plans provided for each shift, with the flexibility to improvise when needed.

Schedule & Availability:

Open availability is preferred, as you may be asked to work different shifts occasionally.
Substitute teachers are scheduled to cover specific teachers and classrooms based on availability. You'll typically receive your schedule the Friday before the week. Flexibility is important, as you may be called upon to cover for a staff member's absence, though you are not required to do so.
Hours may fluctuate depending on enrollment and staffing needs. The more availability you have, the more opportunities you'll have to work.

Compensation:

We offer competitive wages, which are based on your education and experience in the field of early childhood education.

Qualifications (Preferred, but Not Required):

Previous experience working with children, either in a formal teaching role or in another capacity (e.g., tutoring, childcare, camps).
Experience in early childhood education or a childcare center setting.
Familiarity with curriculum and lesson planning.
Experience interacting with parents, guardians, or caregivers.
Positive discipline techniques and a caring approach to child guidance.
Flexibility in working hours and adapting to changes in schedule.

Skills (Preferred, but Not Required):

Knowledge of child development and early learning standards.
Strong customer service skills.
Basic computer proficiency.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
