Credit Risk Lead

A cutting-edge fintech startup revolutionizing the credit card and loyalty platform for consumer businesses is looking for an experienced Credit Risk Lead. With a number of credit cards launched for major brands, they embed credit card features directly into products, helping businesses create imaginative card programs.

As the Credit Risk Lead, you'll head all aspects of credit risk management and get the opportunity to work with all of their partner brands. You'll develop and execute strategies for originations, account management, collections, and advanced analytics. Your role will be pivotal in scaling the risk management processes, balancing customer experience with operational objectives, and ensuring adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead credit risk strategies for new and existing partners.
  • Utilize machine learning and predictive analytics to manage risk and detect fraud.
  • Build automated dashboards to track KPIs and present insights.
  • A/B Testing: Design tests to evaluate new strategies and optimize performance.
  • Loss Forecasting: Predict charge-offs and recovery rates.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in credit risk within the consumer credit industry
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field or Economics, with a focus on data driven problem solving.
  • 4+ years with R, Python, SAS, and SQL and 2+ years in fintech startups.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer credit landscape, fair lending regulations, BI tools, A/B testing, data pipelining, and ETL processes.
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments, excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with banking partners and third-party data vendors.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 annually + equity + benefits.
