Position: Proposal Writer
Description:
TeamWorx Security is seeking a Proposal Writer to join our growing team in Columbia, MD. The Proposal Writer will support awarded government contracts and develop trusted relationships with customer stakeholders. The role involves collaborating cross-functionally, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements, and translating client needs and company objectives into high-quality proposals.
The responsibilities include leading RFIs, managing response composition and graphic concept development, writing technical and customer-facing documentation, and developing and maintaining tracking for proposals and publications. The Proposal Writer will also work with the graphic design team to develop templates and best practices, develop proposal strategies and themes, create Proposal Management Plans and compliance matrices, work with various internal teams to define strategies and articulate solutions, and review RFPs.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required. At least 3-5 years of experience in proposal or technical writing. US citizenship required and must be willing to submit for a DoD security clearance. Demonstrated experience in producing and editing technical documents for software and systems engineering is strongly preferred. Experience in government proposal development, including technical writing, editing, proofreading, production support, and technology industry knowledge. Background in information technology and software engineering development is strongly preferred.
Ability to integrate knowledge from Internet research, SMEs, and relevant company development efforts. Must have knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and related guidance such as DFARS. Strong experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, strong research and analytical skills, organizational skills, ownership mentality, and a positive attitude.
