Salary: Starting at $19.00 p/hr

Family Health Care is currently seeking applicants for the Pediatric Dental Assistant position!

General Function

• 
  To provide chair side assistance to the pediatric dentist(s).
  
• Act as a resource for other dental staff.
• Maintain dental instruments, equipment and operatories in a clean and ready-for-use manner.
• Functioning as an effective communicator with parents/guardians.
• Demonstrates patience and empathy towards pediatric patients.
• Communicating with the patient to facilitate their comfort and cooperation.
• Provide dental x-rays.
• Ensures compliance with FHC policies and procedures, OSHA accreditation requirements and HIPPA standards.
• Ensures appropriate medication storage.

Requirements for the Position

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Current CPR certification preferred
  
• Familiar with basic functions of a computer
• Pediatric experience is preferred
