Under the direction of the Radiologist, Director, and Manager performs diagnostic medical imaging by magnetic resonance including Cardiac MRI, Interoperative MRI or invasive procedures. Responsibilities include performing magnetic resonance imaging examinations, providing MR safety screening, producing quality images, maintaining proficiency in EMR, observing departmental policies and procedures, preparing documentation, using hospital/radiology systems, following safety and infection control policies, providing service excellence, participating in performance improvement, providing age-appropriate and specialized care, effective communication, continuing education, attending meetings, explaining procedures, presenting self professionally, maintaining good customer relations, respecting privacy and confidentiality, improving waiting experience, responding quickly to requests and complaints, and demonstrating teamwork. Minimum education is high school with associates degree preferred or graduate of accredited MR program and MR certification eligible. Minimum experience includes applicable MR experience with advanced equipment, preferably 1-3 years in a level 1 trauma facility. Required certifications include BLS, ARRT, with additional MR certification preferred or must obtain within 12 months of hire. Working conditions include exposure to blood, body fluids, pathogens, and biological hazards, with occasional irregular hours. Physical requirements include ability to stand and walk long periods, lift/push/pull over 100 pounds, move/transfer patients, and perform strenuous physical activity daily.
