Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Litigation Associate at Desmond, Rand & Guerard, P.A. The position can be based in our Westbrook or Wells office, but some work from home is acceptable. The Litigation Associate will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting motions, managing depositions, and representing clients in court. Day-to-day tasks include preparing legal documents, analyzing case law, collaborating with other legal professionals, and maintaining effective communication with clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with drafting and filing motions
• Proficiency in conducting thorough legal research
• Ability to manage and conduct discovery
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Maine
• Experience in litigation is preferred
