What To Expect
Consider before submitting an application: This position is expected to start May 2026 and continue through summer term (ending approximately August 2026 or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.
About The Team
Tesla’s Factory Software team faces increasing challenges as Tesla expands globally and launches new products and programs. As a Software QA Engineer on the Factory Software team, you will be testing a suite of new web applications and improving upon existing ones with the goal of solving the most complex logitics & factory software problems. You will work with our Software Engineers to deeply understand our applications and challenges, and drive improvements in the software to create less costly and more efficient solutions.
What You'll Do Conduct both functional and automated testing. Integration Testing experience is also neededDevelop and execute an automation planning and scripting strategyDesign and develop reusable test frameworks for both UI and API testing. Emphasis is placed on reusability and maintainability of test scripts, which is crucial for long-term efficiencyManage the integration of automated test scripts with a test management tool indicates a focus on efficient test management and reportingAnalyze and solve complex problems and motivate team members to produce creative solutionsCollaborate in the overall automation effort, influence priorities, assist team members, and work closely with different teams and stakeholdersSet up and maintaining pipelines for test execution demonstrates a commitment to automation efficiency and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices
What You'll Bring Currently enrolled in an educational program and graduating between 2026-2027Able to relocate and work on site in Fremont, CAExperience with one or more test frameworks (ex: Selenium Web driver, cypress, JMeter, etc.) is idealStrong understanding of backend services and API testing methodologiesGood knowledge of performing UI TestingSolid skills in SQL/MySQL database testingProficiency in scripting languages i.e., Python for test automation is a key requirementExperience with CI/CD pipelines reflects the importance of automation in the software development lifecycleFamiliarity with Agile development methodologiesAbility to adapt to new technologies and stay updated with industry trends

Expected Compensation
$32.00 - $45.00/hour + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
