COMPANION HOME PROVIDER WANTED
Seeking committed, full time companion home provider/s for 45-year-old disabled adult male (the resident) currently living on Bainbridge Island in a licensed Companion Home. Individual(s) must be able to qualify as a companion home provider under the current Companion Home contract with the Department of Social & Health Services. Position offers excellent salary. Applicant/s must be able to work independently 24/7, as per contract.
The resident currently qualifies for respite services and additional resources are available through the resident’s family, also residing on Bainbridge Island, for further respite care. Companion home provider(s) must be calm, organized, tidy and able to maintain the resident’s needs for structure, socialization and assistance with routine activities of daily living.
Position requires companion home provider(s) to reside in resident’s home, which is currently licensed as a Companion Home and has systems in place for resident’s comfort and safety. Applicant(s) must pass a state background check, including fingerprints. Additional requirements include reporting to DSHS, training and periodic continuing education. Individuals or couple with a cat and/or dog are welcome to apply.
