We are looking for motivated, career-oriented, and customer-focused Cloud Software Engineers to support cloud software research, development, and engineering services, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue resolution. Requirements A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics is highly desired. Hadoop / Cloud Developer Certification or comparable Cloud System/Service Certification is required. Skills and Experience Experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution. Development experience with high-level languages such as Java, C, C++. Experience working with Open Source (NoSQL) products supporting distributed, parallel computation like HBase, Accumulo, Big Table, etc. Work experience with MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, and HDFS. Experience with serialization formats like JSON or BSON. Experience developing Restful services and software for Linux. Experience in object-oriented system requirements analysis and design. Experience integrating and extending FOSS/COTS products. Experience in software testing, including test plan and script development. Technical writing skills with experience producing technical documentation. Experience in at least four of the desired skills/experience areas. Experience deploying applications in cloud environments. Experience developing and deploying data-driven and event-driven analytics, including rules orchestration. Desired Skills/Experience Understanding of Big Data Cloud Scalability (Amazon, Google, Facebook). Designing and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms. Developing analytics involving multilingual processing, multimedia technologies, large data sets, semantic analysis, and AI techniques. Experience with taxonomy construction, linguistics, social network analytics, ontologies, and heterogeneous schema environments.
