About the society

Initiated in 7-2-2001 

The Saudi Society of Laboratory Medicine aims to enable those interested in the field of medical laboratories to contribute to building a scientific community that enhances the spirit of cooperation among members and encourages joint activities between various professionals to develop knowledge and support performance to deal with requirements of modern laboratories.

Professor Zuhier Ahmed Awan, Laboratory Medicine Consultant, was appointed president and a new board of directors was announced in 19-12-2022.

Saudi Society of Laboratory Medicine will propel health care forward. When the right information is in the right hands, problems get solved. We are dedicated to assist lab professional to discover new ways to identify and assist disease management. Making it faster and easier for patients, doctors, and hospitals to access lab tests and data when they need it. Ensuring patients get the clinical services and care they need. Solving health inequities and finding ways to make communities prosperous and healthy
